> Former External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj dies at 67
Sushma Swaraj, the 67-year-old leader, who had served her fourth term in Lok Sabha had long been her party’s most prominent woman face. She was the youngest cabinet minister at 25 when she joined the Haryana government in 1977 and the first woman chief minister of Delhi. 

> Rajya Sabha approves resolution abrogating Article 370
Rajya Sabha approved a resolution abrogating Article 370 for Jammu & Kashmir and a bill to bifurcate the state into two Union Territories. J&K will be UT with assembly and Ladakh UT without an assembly.

> ScooNews Global Educators Fest (SGEF) to be held in Udaipur
The 3rd edition of India's largest education brainstorming event, the ScooNews Global Educators Fest (SGEF) will be held on August 9-10 in Udaipur, the City of Lakes. The theme for this year is 'Education for Sustainability: Moving on from conformity to creativity'.

> Ananth Narayan named as Medlife CEO
Online pharmacy startup Medlife has appointed former Myntra CEO Anath Narayan as CEO, with a mandate to head day-to-day operations, raise funds and oversee mergers and acquisitions at the firm. It intends to raise more than USD 100 million Cipla and Softbank.

> Aamir Khan launches Mission Shakti by Maharashtra
Aamir Khan attended the launch function of Mission Shakti, an initiative by Maharashtra minister Sudhir Mungantiwar to train athletes from Chandrapur and Gadchiroli for international events like the Olympics.

> TTAA and CATA signed MoU
The Tours and Travels Association of Andhra signed an MoU with the Cambodia Association of Travel Agents to facilitate mutual cooperation. TTAA President K. Vijay Mohan and CATA's Phav Proeun exchanged the MoU papers.

> Mahesh Bhupathi named a captain for Davis Cup
All India Association announced Mahesh Bhupathi as the skipper for the India-Pakistan Davis Cup tie. It will be held on September 14 and 15, 2019 in Islamabad.

> Ontario Teachers' to invest USD 2 billion in NIIF
Australian Super and Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan will invest $1 billion each in the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Master Fund. The agreements include commitments of $250 million each in the Master Fund and co-investment rights of up-tp $750 million each in future opportunities.

> External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar will travel to China on August 11, 2019, on a 3-day visit 

> Arunachal Pradesh flagged of 5 Anti-Riot police vehicle, also known as Vajra, from Police Headquarter in Itanagar
