Mahatma Gandhi
Mohan Das Karamchand Gandhi was born on October 2, 1869, at Porbandar in Gujrat. He was a lawyer by profession. He went to South Africa as a lawyer of Gujrati trader Dada Abdullah. He was thrown out of the train at St. Pietersburg railway station on the night of 7 June 1893.
'Mahatma' title was given by Rabindranath Tagore.
'Kesar-i-hind' title was given by Britishers.
Frontier Gandhi is Abdul Gafar Khan's name.
Subhash Chandra Bose called Gandhi the 'Father of the Nation'.

Champaran Satyagraha (1917)
Reason - Indigo cultivation
Mahatma Gandhi went Champaran with Rajkumar Shukla and met Dr Rajendra Prasad and JB Kripalani.
Ahmedabad Mill Workers Movement (February 1918)
Mahatma Gandhi started Hunger Strike for the first time in India. 35% of the plague bonus was returned by Britishers.

Rowlett Act, 1919
Mahatma Gandhi said - 'Black Law'
10 April 1919 - Dr Satyapal and Saifuddin Kitchalu arrested by this act.
13 April 1919
The public started a movement against the Rowlett Act at Jaliawalan Bagh in Amritsar. General O' Dyer gave an order for a shootout and all public was killed. Udham Singh killed General Dyer in 1940.
