> Swachh Nagar app launched for making India clean
The Swachh Nagar app was launched by the Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry. It will allow users to have waste collected by their local bodies along with a new protocol on wastewater treatment.
> Swachh Survekshan 2020 launched
Hardeep Singh Puri, Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs launched the Swachh Survekshan 2020. It is the 5th edition of the annual cleanliness survey conducted by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs. SBM Water Plus Protocol and AI-enabled mSBM App were also launched.
> State of Art Gallery inaugurated in New Delhi
Union Minister of Textiles and Women and Child Development, Smriti Irani, inaugurated Textiles Gallery at National Crafts Museum in New Delhi. The gallery will serve to be a resource center for the students of fashion technology, apparel sciences, and textile designing.
> India's first space museum inaugurated in Hyderabad
India's first Space Science Museum has opened in Hyderabad. It exhibits scale models of Launch Vehicles GSLV Mark III, GSLV Mark II and PSLV, Chandrayaan-1, Mars Orbiter spacecraft, APPLE, Aryabhatta, Bhaskara, Rohini RS-1 and a model of the ISS. The museum is a collaborative effort of ISRO and BM Birla Science Centre.

P.T. Usha has been appointed as a member of the Asian Athletics Association's Athletes Commission. She will be one of the 6 members of the AAA Athletes Commission, to be headed by Andrey Abduvaliyev of Uzbekistan.

Wing Commander Abhinandan Varthaman, who had shot down a Pakistani F-16 near the Line of Control in February resulting in his capture and subsequent release by Islamabad, will be conferred with the Vir Chakra.

Govt appointed VG Somani as Drug Controller General of India. DCGI heads the Indian drug regulatory body CDSCO, whose functions include ensuring the quality of drugs and cosmetics sold in the country, approval of new drugs and regulating clinical trials.
> Air India becomes the first Indian Airline to Fly over Zero Degree North Pole
Air India became the first in the world to operate flights over the Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean as well as the Polar region. With the new route, the distance between New Delhi and San Fransisco has come down from 12 K km to 8 K km.
> ADB signs pact to invest $23 million in NCD of GRIL
Asian Development Bank has signed an agreement to invest $23 million in non-convertible debentures being issued by GRIL to help the company rapidly scale up its construction of roads and highways in India.
> Axis Bank ex-chief Dharmesh Mehta buys IDFC Securities
Former Axis Bank chief Dharmesh Mehta along with a clutch of investors has acquired a 100 percent equity stake of IDFC Securities Ltd from IDFC FHCL. It came after the previous buyer TCG Group and IDFC decided to call off their pact to sell IDFC Securities.

K. Sivan, chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation, was awarded the Tamil Nadu government's Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Award. Kalpana Chawla Award for Courage and Daring Enterprise to P. Ramyalakshmi was also handed.
