Shamshi Dynasty (1210 - 1265 AD)
Founder - Iltutshmish (Ilbani Turk, 1210 -1236 AD)
Capital - Delhi
Iltutmish established Turkanii-Chihalgani/ Dal Chalisa (40 Turk Sardaars).
He started two coins - Tanka (made of silver) and Jeetal (made of copper).
# Changez Khan (Mongolian) was temporary of Iltutmish.
Daughter of Iltutmish - Razia Sultan (1236 - 1240 AD)
She was the first lady sultan.
Only one storey of Qutub Minar was built during the rule of Qutub Uddin Aibak and the rest was completed by Iltutmish. Firozshsh Tuglaq did the maintenance of Qutub Minar.
Nasiruddin Mahmud Shah (1246 -1265 AD)
- Balban was the slave of Iltutmish
- He was the PM of Nasirudin Shah
- Balban killed Nasirudin Shah by poison and established Balban Dynasty.
Balban Dynasty (1265 -1290 AD)
- Balban ruled from 1265 AD to 1287 AD.
- ended Dal Chalisa
- established Diwan-i-Arz (army)
- started Sizda (bow down) and Paibosh (kissing of legs)
- started Navroj festival in India
-took the title of 'Zille-illahi'
The policy of Balban was 'Blood and Iron'
Kaikuvad (1287 - 1290 AD)
He was the son of Begura Khan and grandson of Balban. He died from Paralysis.
Quemersh (1290 AD)
- killed by Jalaluddin Khilji (commander)
- Quemersh was the last king of slave dynasty.
Khilji Dynasty (1290 - 1320 AD)
Founder - Jalaludin Khilji (1290 -1296 AD)
Alauddin Khilji (1296 - 1316)
- killed Jalaluddin Khilji, he was the son-in-law and nephew of Jalaluddin Khilji
- took the title - 'Sikander-i-Sani'
- attacked Devgiri, Maharashtra in 1296. Ramchandra Dev was the king of Devgiri.
- attacked Gujrat in 1298
- attacked Bengal and Chittoor in 1303. Ratan Singh was the king of Chittoor and the queen was Padmavati.
Malik Muhammad Jaiysi wrote Padmavat.
- Malikkafur, commander of Alauddin Khilji, attacked Telangana in 1309. Pratap Rudra Dev, the king of Telangana, gave Kohinoor diamond to Malikkafur.

Alauddin Khilji established Siri city (Delhi) and built Siri Fort in Delhi.
Amir Khusro, the court poet of Khilji, invented Tabla & Sitar.
Qutubuddin Mubarak Shah Khilji (1316 -1320 AD)
- took the title of 'Khalifa'
- went to court sometimes nude and sometimes in women clothes
Nasiruddin Shah was the last king of the Khilji Dynasty and he was killed by Giyasuddin Tuglaq in 1320 AD.
