> Chandrayaan 2 Spacecraft successfully launched by ISRO
Chandrayaan 2 is India's second moon mission, after Chandrayaan-1 in 2008, successfully launched by GSLV-MKIII-M1 from the second launch pad at Satish Dhawan Space Centre, Sriharikota in Andhra Pradesh.
About Chandrayaan 2:-
It comprises a fully indigenous Orbiter, Lander (Vikram), and a Rover (Pragyan - means wisdom in Sanskrit).
> Lucknow to host DefExpo India 2020
India's mega defense exhibition 'DefExpo' will be held for the first time at Lucknow in 2020. The main theme of the event will be 'India: The Emerging Defence Manufacturing Hub' and it will focus on 'Digital Transformation of Defence'.
> Keshav Dutt and Prasun Banerjee were chosen for Mohun Began Ratna
Two-time Olympic gold medallist Keshav Dutt and former India Football Captain Prasun Banerjee will be awarded by Mohun Began Ratna. It will felicitate pacer Mohammed Shami and Ashok Chatterjee will be given the Lifetime Achievement Award.
> John Isner makes history in Tennis
John Isner of the United States has become the first player to win four titles in Newport. He defeated seventh-seeded Kazakh Alexander Bublik in the final. It was his first ATP tour title of the year.
> NPCI ties up with JCB for RuPay card
NPCI and JCB International, with domestic banks, have launched RuPay JCB Global Cards. Banks including SBI, PNB, Axis Bank, Union Bank, Central Bank of India, Andhra Bank, CUB &TJSB Bank will issue cards, which will be accepted at all POS terminals and ATMs.
> Committee recommends a ban on Cryptocurrencies in India
An Inter-Ministerial Committee has recommended a ban on the cryptocurrencies in India and imposing fines and penalties for carrying on any activities connected with it. The panel was constituted in Nov 2017 to study the issues related to virtual currencies.
> India tops medal tally with seven golds at Commonwealth Championships
India topped the medal tally with 7 gold, 5 silver and 3 bronze medals at the 21st Commonwealth Championships of Table Tennis in Cuttack. Harmeet Desai and Ayhika Mukherjee won the men's and women's singles titles. Anthony Amalraj and Manav Thakkar claimed the men's doubles gold.

> 40,000 MW of Solar Projects to be installed by 2022
The government has set a target for the installation of Rooftop Solar projects of 40,000 Megawatt by 2022 in the country. The New and Renewable Energy Ministry is implementing the Grid Connected Rooftop Solar program.
> IMF cuts India's FY20 growth forecast by 30 bps
The International Monetary Fund cut its annual growth for India to 7% in the year ending 31 March 2020 and 7.2% for FY21. The downward revision of 0.3% point for both years reflects a weaker than expected outlook for domestic demand.
> RBI Deputy Governor to run monetary policy
RBI has assigned deputy governor B.P. Kanungo to run the monetary policy portfolio after the resignation of fellow deputy governor Viral Acharya. He would become the sixth member of the RBI's Monetary Policy Committee.
> Yes Bank launches Smart Edge
Yes Bank has announced a surrogate lending program 'Smart Edge' through which an MSME can avail secured working capital limits from Rs 1 - 3 crore in the form of Overdraft, Letter of Credit and Financial bank Guarantees.
