> Cori Gauff beats Venus Williams
15-year-old Cori Gauff beats five-time champion Venus Williams in the first round of the All England Club. By doing so, she became the youngest woman player to win a match at the premiers tournament.

> First battery powered cruise sails
The hybrid expedition cruise ship, the Roald Amundsen, propelled partially by battery power sailed out from Northern Norway on its maiden voyage. It is named after the Norwegian explorer who navigated the Northwest Passage in 1903 and was first to reach the South Pole in 1911.

> First ever IICTF to be held in New Delhi
The first ever India International Cooperatives Trade Fair is going to be held at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi in October. 

> K. Natrajan to be the DG of ICG
K. Natrajan took over as the Director General of the Indian Coast Guard and became the 23rd chief of ICG force.

> US Senate gave India NATO ally-like status
The United States has passed a legislative provision that brings India at par with America's Nato allies and countries like Israel and South Korea for increasing defense cooperation.

> Aparna Kumar scaled Mount Denali
Aparna Kumar created history by becoming the first Civil servant and IPS officer to hoist India's tricolor on Mount Denali in Alaska, USA. She is an ITBP Dehradun Frontier DIG. She is also the first woman IPS officer to reach the South Pole.
> Tamilnadu declared its State Butterfly
Tamil Yeoman, also known as Tamil Maravan, found in the Western Ghats, has been declared as the state butterfly by Tamilnadu. Tamilnadu is the fifth state to declare its state butterfly. Maharashtra is the first state to declare its state butterfly, Blue Mormon.
