> ICMR launches mission Shakti
The Indian Council of Medical Research has launched Mission Shakti to commemorate the 150th anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi in collaboration with the National Gandhi Museum and Directorate of Education, Government of Delhi. This initiative is to create awareness among school children about health.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India launched 'LaQshya' (Labor Room Quality Improvement Initiative) to improve quality of care in labour room and maternity operation theatres in public health facilities.
