> Sunil Chhetri and Ashalata Devi bag top honors at AIFF awards
Indian men's football team captain Sunil Chhetri and women's footballer Ashalata Devi bagged the top honors at the AIFF awards. Chhetri was named the men's footballer of the year, while the title in the women's category was won by Devi.

> The phase-II of the Direct Benefit Transfer of Fertilizer Subsidy (DBT 2.0) was launched by the Union Minister for Chemicals

> Arun Kumar appointed as DGCA chief
Arun Kumar will hold the full-time charge of the head of aviation regulator DGCA. Kumar is an IAS officer of 1989 batch of Haryana cadre. Between June 2016 and December 2016, Bhullar was heading the DGCA as an additional charge.

It was brought out by the Films Division with the veteran filmmaker Jahnu Barua hoping that it will become a platform for movie buffs and other stakeholders.

> Deposits in Jan Dhan accounts cross Rs 1 lakh crore
Deposits in bank accounts opened under the Jan Dhan scheme, launched about 5 years ago by the Modi government, have crossed the Rs 1 lakh crore mark. As per the latest FM data, the total balance in over 36.06 crore PMJDY accounts was at Rs 1,00,495.94 crore.

NAVIO has recently been felicitated at the prestigious 'The Economic Times Best Healthcare Brands 2019'. It is a robotics-assisted surgery system from Smith and Nephew, a Global medical technology provider.

Prasar Bharati and IIT Kanpur signed an MoU for research and collaboration in newly emerging technologies and broadcasting-related areas in New Delhi.
