1615 AD - Sir Thomas Roe visited the court of Jahangir (Ambassador of James I). He gifted a painting and a watch to Jahangir.
1715 AD - John Surmon along with Dr Hamilton visited the court of Mughal king Farrukhsiyar. After Dr Hamilton had treated Farrukhsiyar, the king gave a Farman and a Dastak to John Surmon for free trade in Bengal.
