> IAAF renamed to World Athletics
The International Association of Athletics Federations has re-branded itself as World Athletics. The IAAF was initially founded in 1912 in Stockholm, Sweden as the International Amateur Athletic Federation. IAAF is headquartered in Monaco and its President is Sebastian Coe.

> Priyanka Chopra will be honored by UNICEF's Humanitarian Award
UNICEF will honor Indian actress Priyanka Chopra with the Danny Kaye Humanitarian Award at UNICEF Snowflake Ball in December. She has been associated with several NGOs and also a part of "Girls up" global campaign of UNICEF.

> India ranks 141 in Global Peace index 2019 among 163 countries

> DRDO successfully test fires HSTDV vehicle
HSTDV, Hypersonic Technology Demonstrator Vehicle, is an unmanned scramjet vehicle with a speed of Mach 6. It can be used for both launching satellites at low cost and long range cruise missiles in future.

> 16th Asia media took place in Cambodia
The president of Cambodia is Hun Sen. Its capital is Phnom Penh and currency is Cambodian Riel.

> Laxman Narasimhan to be new CEO of PepsiCo
British consumer goods giant Reckitt Benckiser named Laxman as its new Chief Executive Officer. He will succeed Rakesh Kapoor.

> Thawarchand Gehlot appointed leader of Rajya Sabha
He will replace former Union Minister Arun Jaitley. Piyush Goyal will take charge as deputy leader for the Upper House of the Parliament.

> SBI launches digital residential property show in Hyderabad
SBI has set up a new marketing outfit called 'Destination: The Home Shoppe' in Hitech city.

> Indian Navy hosts Maritime Information Sharing Workshop 2019
The two day event was inaugurated by Vice Admiral MS Pawar at Gurugram, Haryana. Its aim is to work towards enhancement in maritime security and safety.

> Government launches DBT Tribunal web portal 
Union Ministry of Tribunal Affairs launched DBT Tribunal Web portal to streamline and expedite the process of releasing scholarship grants directly into bank accounts of beneficiary students.

> The Central Government has set a target to provide clean drinking water to all by 2024

> Manipur man detects WhatsApp bug
Zonel Sougaijam, civil engineer from Manipur was included in Facebook Hall of Fame 2019 for detecting a bug in WhatsApp that violated privacy of a user.

> Virendra Kumar appointed Pro-tem Speaker in Lok Sabha
