• India participated in SCO mass forum

The SCO forum is a Shanghai Cooperation Organisation Mass Media forum of which current meeting took place at Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan. It is the second meeting and was inaugurated by the President of Kyrgyzstan Republic Mr. S Jeenbeko.

• Chandrani Murmu became the youngest Lok Sabha MP 

She is from BJD party and won the reserved Keonjhar, Odisha's seat. There are a total of 78 woman MPs in 17th Lok Sabha, the highest since the first Lok Sabha in 1952.

• Uber launched submarine service in Australia

Uber has partnered with Australian tourist group Tourism Queensland to offer the world's first rideshare submarine ScUber in the Great Barrier Reef.

• Akshay Kumar named TAFE's (Tractor and Farm Equipment Limited, 1960 Chennai) brand Ambassador

• Nalini  Malani, an artist, won Joan Miro Prize worth $78,000

She has become the first Indian to win Joan Miro prize.

• Pakistan successfully test fired a long range ballistic missile, Shaheen-II, capable of carrying a nuclear warhead with a range of 1500 kms
